Well here is the first box call I made using the great teachings of Prairie game calls. Its actually my 4th box call over all but the first 3 were done in the shadow of Larry.
Turned out really nice and great sounding.

cool looking caller :z-winnersmiley:
Just saw this post Doug, That is one classy looking call, wouldn't expect nothing less from you.
Douglas, as always your personal touch is evident in this box caller, I love the sweeping lines and the handiwork in the handle and on the paddle is pure artwork.
Gorgeous caller!!!!!
A very sharp box call and you listened well to a great builder. Super piece of butternut and your style shines through, a cool spin on the fence post caller.
Thanks guys.
Taking a chunk of wood and actually finding the bird inside is a hoot, nice change in call building as these are 100% callmaker.
Cullpeper you mentioned fence post style. For all those here that wonder the same thing could you list the different paddle and box styles? I never learned the difference beyond a box call and a long box.
Wow. Very nice.
Very nice work Douglas. And if the quality is anything like your trumpets and pot calls it will surely call in many longbeard.
Good looking box caller, Doug.
Looks great...Congrats!!!
Great job !!!!!!!
