It is one of his turpin styles. He makes several like this. Im going to get a 1920 from him next. I wish I could find one of his 1917s. He quit making them.

Super nice caller Del. Love the grain on that cocobolo or is that a rosewood? With a second look I'am not sure.  All the calls Mr. Permar makes that I have seen alway are made of a top notch grade of wood.

We all need to hunt together and film it. I'll do with out a gun to lay some footage down.

True enough. Up til that day,  I had missed 4 Gobblers since 1978... After Del whiffed that morning, I missed one at 30 yards... 3 more came out an hour later including Del's double beard. I killed one of the satellite Gobblers. Shook off the jinx quick.

We have plenty of close ups of Del's bird since then.. his spurs are loooooooooooooong enough.

I was just giving him a sporting chance.

I was 7 for 7 after the miss.

I can run that Permar much better now. I was playing around in that video, moving my hands, drawing air with different velocities. That Permar likes a finger totally covering the bell.

And PS....I was the only one good enough to even get a shot off at the double bearder the entire season.   :goofball:

Andy I enjoyed it. Was talking to Ricky today as a matter a fact, about getting to come hunt with you. We shall do it again.
