Got my hands on some buckeye burl first turning this wood for me makes pretty nice sounding call

3 in slate over aluminum ,,this call got one nasty hen in it

Absolutely awesome looking calls! This wood is one of my favorites , I hope to get my hands on a piece or two eventually myself .

That Buckeye Burl is sure pretty, I have made several pens from it. It does have alot of occulsions and can be brittle when you turn it.
