Has anyone had a problem attaching a sling to the magazine cap on a SBEII? I've tried the Hush Stalker swivels and Uncles Mikes and both seem very tight. It almost seems like the stud is too short with the way the cap is sort of recessed. Am I missing something?
Mine is that way aslo. The magazine tube is sort of concave, and the plastic part of the hush stalker rubs on the outside edge of the magazine cap. I've had the gun for 5 years, and the only place the paint is missing is that little ring where the sling rubs on the magazince cap. I've since switched to a small more compact metal swivel, and it fits just fine, and doesn't rub anywhere. The hush stalker swivels were too wide/long.
YUP! Tight but useable so I haven't ventured into a solution yet. I do think the problem is in the concave design of the mag cap. Maybe File down the end of the swivel??
I couldn't even get my hush swivel to work at all on mine. It wouldn't line up. Had a metal swivel laying around and it works fine.
I know this post is almost a year old... but, I saw the the Claw company redesigned the swivels on their slings. Has anyone tried this "updated" version with their SBE II? I have had the same issue as everyone else using the swivel on the magazine cap. Not fitting, rubbing off the camo, etc.
Thanks,
Eric
I have the same problem with my SBEII.
Why is it that Benelli Magazine cap stud does not swivel? I have never seen a cap that did not swivel.

The cap studs do swivel on the SBEII, but the cap itself is concave, so the surface gets scratched by the swivel on the sling.
