Post by: merocustomcalls on August 08, 2012, 08:52:56 PM
Here's a Kingwood with Ivory trumpet I made recently.  It's headed to NC.

Click on the picture to enlarge, thanks for looking.

Brian, that is an awesome trumpet.....I love kingwoods distinctive figuring and your shape of trumpet brings it out to the front row....pappy

That Kingwood trumpet looks nice. I just today got a Snakewood with Ivory mouthpiece from Mr. Mero and its all turkey. It is very easy to play and it will go with me this coming spring in the turkey woods of Virginia.

I have had it for a week now and been practicing a little every day.  The video that was included has helped me a lot, as I have never played one before.  I also have been uploading some guys on youtube playing trumpets.  The cluck has come pretty easy for me, but I am having a hard time trying to get the rollover on yelps.  Any suggestions would be helpful.  In the meantime, I'll keep practicing.  I want to be proficient enough to hunt with it next spring.
