Title: UN Arms Treaty Not Signed
Post by: CASH on July 28, 2012, 03:13:49 AM
So far the US, Russia, and China have not signed, asking for more time. A victory for now.

I'm surprised there is still someone in the government that has an inclination of sense.  That's great news for now anyway.

Obummer does not want to have this on his record as it will cost his dumb butt more votes maybe? Hillary would most likely sign it as the gun grabber she is because she is not running! Worth thinking about.

Just added from a liberal new broadcast:

Glad to see a discussion on this..The liberal news media is, of course, going to push for more firearms control as is the present admin. What they neglect to mention is the simultaneous call for arms control and the supply of firearms to the Mexican cartels and other subversives, by the U.S. gov't via Fast And Furious and other black operations. It's disingenuous at best...We have a gov't that backs dictators such as Mubarak and any number of oppressive regimes with funding and weapons and then calls for international gun control? You've got to be kidding!
We backed Iran and Iraq, supplying them with arms so they could kill each other. We were great friends with Sadam until he wanted to sell his oil using currency other than USD. Then he became a monster and a threat to the world. Same thing with Gaddaffi...He was behaving and we left him alone until he wanted to trade oil in denominations other than USD. Then he became a threat to the world and we organized an attack on him and demonized him...
So for a gov't to profess concern for the welfare of the worlds' people and deliberately arm regimes that absolutely stand for oppression and attack others, militarily for not going by "our" rules??? It tells you there is another agenda other than world peace.
We unjustly killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who didn't need to be killed in the name of world safety/peace. Did we find WDM? NO! It had been established by U.N. inspectors years before that Iraq had destroyed the weapons that were required to be destroyed. The world trade center attack was the perfect excuse to use aggression against Iraq for threatening the USD reserve currency status.
If we had a justification for moving against anybody it would have been for moving against Saudi Arabia. As we all know, the attackers were from there...
Anyway, all this to say, there is a much wider agenda than controlling the flow of weapons to people who shouldn't have them...Historically WE are one of the ones who supply weapons to people who want to kill others. Ask yourself, why would we want to limit one of our main vehicles for projecting our will on other nations???
