Title: A Rio Killa!
Post by: culpeper on July 27, 2012, 08:27:16 AM
A consistent call and definitely one that the Rio's in Texas can't resist is Cherry over Poplar.  This call is hard Cherry over Yellow Poplar with Redheart spacers and Cherry end blocks set in a Cherry base.  The customer wanted it simple and sweet with a gobbler on one one rail and large realistic turkey tracks on the other rail.  The right rail carries a long and sturdy old hen yelp with a crisp heavy bottom and the left rail proudly holds a younger hen, higher pitched and clearer with a bit less rasp.  This call clucks, tree talks and purrs very easy--thanks for looking.
