The first is an all Ivory call I built. I built another guy an Ivory Trumpet using a Gold Ferrule. Which was built for me by Steve Lumma. It features Morel Mushroom, to me nothing is better than two loves of Spring. Morels and Gobbling Turkeys. The ferrule on this call is the Hand Carved Ivory prototype Steve used to build the Gold ferrule. Which was used on my #1 ivory trumpet. This call is #2 and will be around my neck this Fall. Called up 6 Toms this past Spring towards the end of the season.
The second and thrid picture are the same Trumpet call. It was built using a piece of scap Desert Ironwood which was cast in Acylric. It has a Musk Ox mouthpiece and bead. It was something different. Worked out just fine, I had Steve build me a little larger ferrule which allowed me to beef up the call for added strengh. I just wanted a little more backbone when using the casted blanks.
The Hen Box is built out of Maple with a Desert Ironwood lid. The new owner was pleased with the combo. Got another one the bench now.
