After seeing the first trumpet I posted with a captive ring, Neal gave me a piece of flame box elder and wanted me to make one with multiple rings. He came up with the idea of calling it the "Ring of Fire" trumpet since it is flame box elder. I thought I could fit more rings on it but I ended up with three. I did have enough material left over to make a stand for it, something I've never done before. It's finished off with an Ivory mouthpiece and cork lipstop. Sometimes it's fun to do something different and challenge yourself.

It sounds pretty good. I would not say it's as good as some of the real heavy woods like blackwood or cocobolo, but it will kill a bird.
That is sweet!!
WOW!
Maybe next could be the "Olympic" call with 5 rings!
