Title: Colorado Hunting
Post by: nctrkyhntr on July 16, 2012, 02:24:12 PM
I am able to stay in a cabin in units 36,45. My question is what are these unit like. Are they a draw unit only?

Are you talking about turkey hunting?  If so, 45 is not an open unit to hunt turkeys.  36 has a few isolated birds in its northern portion, but is a very limited draw.  45 is wicked wilderness country (Holy Cross Wilderness).  There are at least two hikers that never have been found in the last 10 years.  36 isn't as ruged.  If your talking elk or deer,  Deer is draw only and elk is OTC for archery and rifle is OTC for second and third rifle (I think).

I worked for the Town of Avon for 5 years before moving to MT last year.

Archery or Rifle Season?
