We checked a trail camera we put out on a backwater along the Arkansas River and found something that we never expected...

There really are turkeys left in Arkansas! WOOHOO!!!

Cool. The bird on the right spurs are hidden, but I think he's the stud. Great pic.

What you have found is the very rare "Akansas Meleagris Gallopavo."
Once believed to be extinct they are now protected under the Endangered Species Act
You may have found the last 3 known to exist so hunting them is totally out of the question!

Will need GPS coordinates in order to verify existance
