I'm looking for a cheap ir camera to catch some thieves I have had 2 cuddiebacks stolen in the last month! I would like to put some out and see how they work. Does anyone have any info on these cameras? Battery life? Pic quality? Do they work fairly well? Would you recommend them! I know they are fairly cheap but if they get stolen I'm not out much and hopefully I can catch the thieves!
I have had the wildgame ir4 cam for two years now and it has worked great. I paid $70 for it and its done a great job. Picture quality is real good. Battery life is good, the thing I don't like about is it does not have a multi shot burst. There are a lot of sites that have it rated very good, especially for under $100. Another cam to look at is the spypoint g4 from gander mountain, I paid $99 for mine and after coupon got it for $79. These two cams have been really good for under $100. Scoot
I have had a ir6 Wildgame cam for 3 years...It takes fantastic pics, but,It wouldn't work well to catch a thief because the crazy thing had a red and green L.E.D. lights on the front , one blinks when it senses movement, the other blinks when it takes a pic. The deer don't mind it , but it would defiantly draw a thief's eye.
I use them with no complaints. I have several of the ir'4 and ir'6's. Not bad for a cheaper camera. As far as the blinking lights go, just put a piece of tape over them. Also I'd recommend putting the camera up high in a tree and face it down toward your intended target. Most folks don't look up. I've had a lot of people in and out of my property and none of them have spotted the camera. Day or night.

I have one. Not sure of the model but paid around 100 dollars for it. Works great. Batteries last a long time and it takes good pictures. Sometime it does make a loud click when it takes a picture but the deer dont seem to mind.
That is good to hear about the Wildgame cameras. I have not purchase them because I thought the quality was as good as it should be. When they first came on the the market they had some issues. Good to hear they are on the right track.
