A gentleman from Nebraska sent me a board of honey locust that was cut in the 90's. Here is a call made from the wood. It has a nice, consistent peach color to the straight grain and comes with a curly maple striker. The call has a higher pitch for a slate, and creates realistic purrs and clucks.
