Title: Sight preference?
Post by: jbennett on June 21, 2012, 09:09:18 PM
I am currently using a truglo red dot sight on my turkey gun. Lately I've been considering pros and cons and have been thinking of switching to an iron sight (Williams slugger). I would love to hear all of your opinions on the tour ideal setup.

I like the iron sights. Got Tru glo magnum's on three different rigs.

I have two different sets of FO open sights, two different red dots and a scope. If forced to choose one for a dedicated rig I would choose the red dot sights.

To be straight up on this it depends on your age. Can you see rifle type sights? If so those will be fine. If your eyes are going then get a reflex sight.

I absolutely agree. I used to shoot F/O sights and loved them. But I'm 50 now, and it's red dot reflex sights for me from now on.

I have an Aimpoint 9000SC red dot scope on both my Mossberg 835 and Benelli SBE 2.
