Looking for a wood moisture meter. They can range up to some big bucks. What makes and models do you guys use?

Joe, I have been using a delmhorst model # BD 8 for 25 yrs. or so @ work. It gets used a lot, never had a problem with it. Its not a digital (old fashion needle) it workes great. Sorry, it's the only one I've ever used but I would buy another if this one ever gives up the ghost. I think the brand is great. I hope this helps

I am using the same one Gitzit is using. I picked mine up at Lowes for 20 bucks on sale.
Yep same one I use.....works great especially for the price.
Same Here No problems !
Same one as Gitzit , keep a check at Lowes .. Actually got mine for 10 on sell but like someone else said it usually runs $20/$30. Never had a ounce of problems w/ it so far
Got the same one Joe, got it at lowes for $25.00. I love it.
Just got mine. I got the same one as Dave. Already tried it out. Just so happens I had 2 boxes of wood on the front porch when I got home. Glad I checked because both pieces were 16%. They are 6X6X3" thick. Should I cut them into smaller pieces to dry quicker? Will they crack if I do that?

You can cut them Joe, just seal the ends after.
