Title: Beretta Xtrema 2 Kick-Off System
Post by: JUGHEAD on June 12, 2012, 07:53:53 PM
So a pal of mine just put me on a killer deal on the subject gun at a pawn shop and I bought it.  I had swung several of them but never had checked out one with the Kick-off system and this one has it.  I'm wondering what you guys with the Kick-Off system think of them?  It feels kind of gimmicky (not sure that's a word) to me.  It's like when you push in on it it's kinda rough and squeaky instead of fluid and quiet like you would hope.  Can it be lubed to get rid of that noise?  Does it really help enough to make it worthwhile or would I be better off to go with a standard LImbsaver pad like I always have?  Is that even an option or would I have to have a different buttstock?

My dad has the "Kick-Off" system on his Xtrema II. When firing 3 1/2" shells there does seem to be a slight decrease in recoil. I've shot my cousin's Xtrema without it (Kick-Off) for comparison. It does add alittle length to the gun however.
