Title: Any call makers in south Arkansas or north Louisiana

I am in south Arkansas working an internship and was wanting to know if their were any call makers that would be willing to show me some things about call making. I have never done it but want to at least give it a try.

If you ever get up to the Fort Smith, AR area, I would be glad to have you come by and spend some time in the shop.  I'm usually around on Saturday until early afternoon, then after church on Sunday.  I know a guy near Clarksville that made some great pot calls, but not sure if he is still making any... haven't heard from him in years.

I wish you were closer i would take you up on that. If i ever get a chance to go up that far ill keep you in mind.

duckbuster, where are you located at and what exactly are you looking for, duck, turkey, deer, boxes, pots, trumpets, tubes, might can lead you in some direction

I am located in Magnolia Arkansas  and i was looking into turkey calls and duck calls but mostly turkey pots.

not sure around Magnolia, if there is a local sporting good store or maybe bow shop around, maybe they could help you, there are a couple guys around the Shreveport area and i think maybe around Texarkana also, look on www.customcalls.com i think, that site has lots of callmakers on it

I would guess you are referring to Jerry Hampton in Clarksville. He made some killer pots. He moved and currently does not have a shop to work in. He hopes to make them again one day soon.

Jerry is the one I was referring to.  I have one of his walnut slate calls that sounds really good.
