Title: Kicks GT .640 in 870
Post by: chipper on May 28, 2012, 09:34:38 PM
Anyone ever try running a turkey load through this choke? I bought one to try at local turkey shoots the other day and was just wondering about trying a 1.5 to 1.75 oz load like XRHD or the old whites being they liked tight chokes, just a little leary.

I shot a ton of XRHD 3.5" 2 oz 6's through a 0.650" GT in an 870 SM with stellar results.

Been my experience that 2oz is as much as an 870 can really handle in 6's... :gobble:

Seems as tho the 3" pattern better for me than the heavier 3.5's out of my 870 in lead. Just think its too much shot trying to get out of the same spot! Poet and don't noet.
