It ain't huge and I did release it ,but it is the first one I have ever caught. We were fishing for walleyes on the Detroit river. We only got one walleye and at least 100 silver bass. Check out the freighter in the shipping channel passing behind me. That's Canada in the distance too.

That's awesome Red!
We took a trip up to the Lake Of The Woods several, several years back, we caught walleye, sauger, and a few muskie's.
We had a blast, I would love to do it again someday.

The Detroit has a little bit of everything in it. Walleye,Perch,Bass,Sturgeon,Pike,Drum, Catfish. Ain't no telling what you might latch onto.
Way to go, Red.. That is a great picture, by the way..
Great picture ...Congrats on your first Muskie
Awesome!!! I am a die hard musky fisherman, thats a beautiful fish for sure! I have heard great things about detroit river. Congrats on a very nice fish.
Congrats on your Muskie ! That's a fish of a 1000 cast ! That's what they say anyway. :icon_thumright:

Yes it is. I enjoyed talking with you.
Have you ever been to Boblo Island? It was actually onwed by Canada. We went there in the 90's. It's closed now and went out of business.
I was on Bob Lo as a kid. Maybe 50 years ago.
Congrats! As a strictly muskie fisherman I must say that that's a feat that takes many fisherman years to achieve! It took me four years to boat my first ski.
Real cool. That's a beautiful fish right there.
Great shot to.
Congrats. Cant catch a second without catching a first. :)

Congrats Red first one is always special, pretty looking one there too, nice color.
As for the Detroit river, its a great fishery however its a pain in your backside with an 8 mile an hour current. Need lots of patience because there are alot of snags
Did ya "lip" him? ;)
