Title: To dip or not to dip?
Post by: Waddle Whacker on May 17, 2012, 12:02:09 PM
Hey guys, I just purchased a Shur Shot for my 20 and am looking for some opinions. Should I leave it all black, which I think looks pretty good, or have my stock and forend dipped? If I decide to dip I'm considering going with Obsession, Mothwing Spring Mimicry, or Bottomland. I'm a huge bottomland fan but already have 3 guns in that pattern, so it's probably last on my list. What y'all think?

I'd love to see a picture of those bottomland guns.  I personally would like to have my Rem 20 gauge dipped in it.

I've got 3 guns I've had dipped........all were duck guns.  After letting a buddy talk me into painting my turkey gun myself, I don't think I'll ever get another gun dipped.  The paint job has held up well and cost me virtually nothing other than my time.  The great thing is if I ever get tired of the paint job I can change it.
