A friend of mine has an Ithaca 37 with a 2 3/4"-3" king ferry barrel and needs a choke. Any suggestions. And or what is available for this barrel.
Thanks
I hunt almost exclusively w/ an Ithaca Mod. 37 made in Kings Ferry which is threaded for the Browning Invector/Winchester tubes. I've evaluated a bunch of different choke tubes and am sold on the IC .660 w/ Hevi-13, 3",2 oz., 7's and 6's. My barrel has been polished and consistently puts 245-255, 7's and 200-208, 6's in 10" at a measured 40 yards. Since the release of the Hevi-13, 7's, I carry a 7 in the chamber, and two 6's in the magazine.
I actually tried my winchoke the other day a few of them actually and they were a little snug going in. Not wanting to screw up his barell or my chokes I stopped. I figure it must be something else. Yet his choke screwed into my winchester. Are the truchoke and invector/winchoke close to the same threads.

Tru-choke Does NOT equal Winchoke or Invector Choke.

.
not to sure what you mean by equal. I know they are different. But are the threads similar in that they may be mistaken for one another
