Title: New slayer in the making......
Post by: Reloader on May 14, 2012, 11:25:08 AM
Sent a new black SX2 to Brent at Liquid Dimensions to have it dipped in Mathews Lost.  He took a pic before shipping her back:

I'm tickled with the way it looks in the pic and will take more when I get this beast together.

I picked this rig up NIB for $500 at a local shop(26" bbl).  Fired some rounds to check POI and numbers, she was dead on with the bead and threw 130s with Grey Box 6s and near 400 with 2-1/8oz hevi 7 handloads.  So far I've adjusted the trigger to 4lbs and picked up a Burris 336 base.  Now, it's off to my bud John to be drilled and tapped.  I'm going to stick a FF2 on her when John gets finished.

Looking fwd to slaying some toms with the new rig next year.

Have a good one,

loder

Looks great man!!

Mind if I ask how much he charged to dip it?

I'm not sure what his price is now Bad Grizzly, this was a short special he had going for $100, yes $100!!  I believe the special is over, but I would imagine his price is still lower than others.  I paid about $157 total, $100 for the dip, $15 to strip the duratouch, and $42 shipping both ways.

Brent is a great guy to deal with as well. I talked to him 4 or 5 times on the phone from start to finish.  He was very informative and really seemed to take pride in his work.  Very detail minded.

I'll post some pics when I get it together.

Here's some pics of his work:

Good deal pullit.  I'll mount the FF on when the action gets back and post some pics of the complete package.

Here are the picture of my Super X3 that Brent at Liquid Dimensions did for me. This will be a dual purpose shotgun, both turkey and ducks.
I am very pleased.

While the gun was apart, it got drilled and tapped for a 336 mount. I can now put a Burris FF sight on it at any time without any trouble.

Outstanding looking camo.  Does the guy have a web site and where is he located?  Invite him on over here to OG.

Looks great John.

Brent uses his facebook page as a website. Just type liquid dimensions in google and it will come up. Under photos you can see the patterns offered and many diff guns they've done.
