Title: season approaching
Post by: 3chunter on February 27, 2011, 11:57:21 PM
Seems like each day I am watching a clock as time is creeping by. What are some things you do to get ready for the upcoming turkey season?  I usually try to work out so I can chase em but this year I'm taking the non-cardio approach.

If I'm home during the opening of season, I'm usually trying to get myself accustomed to waking up early and doing some walking. All that ususally isnt that hard to do since I'm up and running before it starts listening for turkeys anyhow. I'll sit there and condition and tune calls then go through my vest and make sure I have everything from the previous year. Usually do that a couple times.

Making turkey calls, Making Decoys, scouting, videoing, and when I get time I watch turkey videos. Not much time for videos.

Make a few calls, drive the family crazy running calls, harvest cam pics at least once a week, and do a little spying on some turkeys while their living out the last few days of their lives.  8)
