what is the best base to get or base rings combo

Got the Weaver multi-slot base on mine and it  works fine and only costs about 10 bucks.

I went with the Marlin 336 base on mine...it looks very clean and neat.

I've been cutting the Weaver 429 base in 1/2 for mounting the FFs with the pic mount or protector pic mount. The 336 is cleaner, but you have to get a couple 8-40 holes done.

Im going 336 on the new SX2 I just had dipped.
