The 17 year cicada hatched in middle tennessee last year, didn't get any in west tn. But, they hatched during turkey season, and guys were claiming that Maple trees were holding most of the cicadas. So, a guy went scouting for these trees and low and behold there were the turkeys that had be eluding him since the hatch started. He killed a big nice tom and cut into his crawl and sure enough there was about 5 lbs of cicadas in it. It looked like a soccer ball. I forgot how many he pulled out of it, but it was over 100.
