Is there any difference other than the shorter stock and barrel?
Nope. That's it.
Same action.
I have the youth and love it.
Compact monster. Great totting in the woods.
Yes I bought the youth specifically for the shorter barrel.
Added the full size Shur-Shot stock and it is a great turkey hunting gun.
The mfg. states the youth model weighs 5.75 lbs. Has this proven correct?
I was asking because I bought a used 20 last month and while it had a speed bead syn. stock, it has a 20 3/8" barrel from the receiver to the end of the barrel and I wondered what it was. It reads Remington 870 express Magnum on the receiver. I have since switched the stock to a SureShot, changed the trigger spring and am taking it in to be drilled and tapped for a marlin base this week.

That's the specs on my youth 20.
Thanks guess I got a youth after all, thats what I was planning on buying in the first place, saw this one on the outdoor trader fairly cheap and bought it thinking it was just a reg 20 gauge.
