Title: sandy spot with lots of traxs
Post by: Siwash on May 03, 2012, 10:52:40 PM
hey folks

so i came across spot with woods adjacent to an xmas tree farm... lots of small to med xmas tree.. the soil is VERY sandy where the trees are.. i think know where the turks roost more or less... as a hunter recently shot a tom at flydown from a roost... i;m assuming thy will be in the same general vicincity..

theres a spot with tons of tracks (at least by our standards)... what time of the day they might use this spot is a total mystery..

when/why might they use such a spot? to strut?

any ideas????

thanks

Best way to know is stamp out the tracks every time you go and note the time. If you hunt it several days in a row you can narrow the time down. We have done this several times when hunting big pieces of land and it works great. Good luck,
