Title: Rainy day WV bird
Post by: earlybird on May 02, 2012, 08:15:01 PM
Called in a nice bird today for my nephew from KY.We sort of swapped hunts so it works out for both of us.It was just kind of foggy when we saw him but when he started coming in he was still about 100yds out when it started pouring down the rain, but we were already committed and i sure was'nt giving up on him.He had 2 hens with him and of them was only about 5yds from my nephew when the gobbler finally got in range. He was agood bird with a heavy 9 1/2"beard,1"spurs,19 1/2lbs.
