We are hunting up there (North Central Nebraska) all next week and it looks like a nice cool down is expected. I am tired of hunting with temps in the 80's around here. Any and all reports are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
Thanks
good luck, have a fun and safe trip!
Birds are working very good.
Just got back on Tuesday, some have groups of hens yet but found many unlucky ones that we were able to work. Shouldn't have to much troube killing birds.
Good luck!!

Good to know. Heading up there myself Tuesday... :z-guntootsmiley:
We just got back tuesday and it was the hardest hunting I've ever been a part of. We ended up getting a couple, but it was brutal. Maybe just typical public hunting up there, don't know.
Thanks for the reports. We will be on private where there has been very little pressure. I was hoping with the early Spring the hens will be on nest and most gobblers will be lonely and looking for love by next week. The weather forcast is looking better and better with highs in the low to mid 60's and lows in the thirties. Seem merriams gobble like crazy the cooler it is so next week can't get there soon enough.
