Title: 935 new to me
Post by: Trapper on May 01, 2012, 09:31:01 PM
Just picked up a nice used 935, SN AMO409XX
New Mossy Oak Breakup, 28" VR, non ported, single front glo site, Accu Mag choke
I'm thinking it was a waterfowl gun w/the 28" but I will be using it strictly for turkeys.
I can get a shorter barrel for next year.
Does anyone have an idea from the SN or features what year this may have been born?

I have no idea as to how to tell the year it was made.  Maybe e-mail mossberg?
By the way, I think you will love the gun.  I finally broke down and bought a 935 pistol grip turkey model little over two years ago, after trying a 20 ga auto, then making the mistake of thinking I would like a pump.  The 935 (for turkey) is the gun I really like.

That's a great gun. Mine patterns as well as any gun I own. It also will cycle 2.75" shells reliably even though there is no "guarantee" that it will.

Even though your gun has been around for a while, I'd recommend that you "deep clean" the bore. It will help more than you might imagine.

Thanks,
Clark
