Title: Missouri monster takes a dirt nap
Post by: turkey harvester on April 30, 2012, 11:29:32 AM
Whacked this longbeard out Sat. morning. Great hunt, bird done everything he was supposed to do. Had 1 hen come running in after the first call. She then started to strut and gobble. Now I haven't ever seen one gobble, have seen them strut, but this was crazy. She hung around the entire hunt, and the gobbler strutted his way in. I held my gun up for over an hour and there was no feeling let in either arm or hand. I couldn't take it no more so when he stepped out from behind a tree i let him have it at 30 yards. The hen run to the flopping gobbler. I chambered my spent round out and walked 9-10 steps twords her before she would leave. Awsome morning and awsome hunt.

Weight 23.15 lbs
Beards 10 1/2 and 5 1/2
Spurs 1 3/16" each side.
