ordered some hevi 6s jus looking for some more opinions..should i try a 660 for the 6s
I shoot the same combo and hevi 6 or 7 are both good. With 6's I get 200-210 and with 7's I get 270-280. I tried the 660JH with the 7's and could not break 200. With over 600 pellets that is terrible. The H13 stuff shoots better than any of my reloads. Go figure.
Hevi 6's Ias getting between 210-230's @ 40 the 7's were averaging around 270 Thes were 3.5"shells. That was one of the best chokes I had for that gun.Very even patterns too!
Pure Gold .670

Since I've had the .660s available, they've been a favorite of my readers. I've seen a lot of excellent patterns from the folks who are shooting them with both #6 shot and #7 shot.
Thanks,
Clark
I have had the PG .660 in my 870 SM 26" and it did not do as well as the .670. Probably due to the longer barrel.
I patterned the PG 660 and 665 at the same time as the 670 and the 670 was the best construction of them all.
