Title: Drumming and running for cover
Post by: NEKVT on April 28, 2012, 07:49:16 AM
First of all do only gobblers drum?
Today is the first day of youth season, and so far we have had a kid take a sot at 60 yards at a bird and compleatly miss, then chased the birds right through my "Hunting by permission only" signs over to where I hope to hunt when the regular season opens.
Hopefully when I get a chance to hunt the birds are not too skiddish. When I was a kid i only hunted regular seasons, and dident take irrisponcible shots, I just don't get these kids.

was the kid in an open field, sometimes 60 doesn't look that far with no trees to judge. Unfortunetly i have been there.

find out who the kid is, and take him under your wing and show him how to do things the right way
