I have tagged out in Bama and am headed to GA to hunt. I can hunt this weekend and in two weeks so a three day trip was not going to work.
I have bought the non resident big game in the past and paid the $195 I think. When I tried to purchase it this year it told me I needed to purchase the hunting fishing combo for $100 before I could buy the other. I thought computer glitch for sure so I called. Nope it is correct. I may have paid it in the past, but I don't remember it. So now I figure I am set if I get drawn this season for a non resident gator tag (4 priority points), no if I get drawn I have to buy a $200 gator tag. LOL
So to go turkey hunting in GA I just spent $297.50 to go turkey hunting GA.
Next week I will be in SD hunting so if I don't tag out in GA this weekend, I have one more weekend to hunt.
yeah thats a little rough.. I pay $135 gladly to NY for two turkey tags each year
Getting to extend the season, kill more birds, and hunt somewhere a little different is worth it in my book. hope to add a southern state or two next year so I can start hunting in April with the rest of you
Actually we start March 15. I'm just trying to get a little bit longer out of the season.
$60.00 in WI plus a turkey stamp, the only thing good is a second permit is only $15.00
