Post by: bowrebel on April 26, 2012, 11:15:50 PM
My first time turning bloodwood-love the smell of this stuff
Crystal over black aluminum

First time turning a double with 2 playing surfaces and a soundboard
Black aluminum and slate plating surfaces and a glass soundboard

LOL, The double has ports-just hidden. I drilled the blank with the holes a little closer to the outside, turned the call, then cut the groove around the outside deep enough to cut into the side of the drilled holes. The slate side is awesome, but the aluminum side is just OK. Not happy with the strikers I am using, so I'm going to turn a few more to see if I can liven it up a little more.
