Title: Fed HW 2 3/4 #7 Patterns Rem SF .570 Choke
Post by: gophert on February 27, 2011, 12:00:07 PM
Gun:  Remington 870 20 ga Youth 21" bbl

I just don't think this load will be dependable at 40 yards, but is PERFECT out to 30 with a child.  This is probably what my 10 year old daughter will use this year.  It kicked about like a dove load.

This may be a 560 choke load for a 40 yard gun. 3" lead does as well at 30 yards as this but the recoil is more.

Since this is for my daughter, I was thinking the same thing.  Perhaps the Pure Gold Tempest .555 may get the results I'm looking for.  I really did like the way these shells kick very little.

The 3" numbers were much better, but they kicked quite a bit for a little girl.
