Had my little buddy Jaxon out again today. We divided and tried to conquer, with a good friend of mine taking Jaxon's dad to another part of the farm. You might remember Jaxon killed his first ever turkey Saturday, a 1.5" spurred stud, on opening day of Ohio's youth season. Kids can only take one bird during the youth season in Ohio. We tried yesterday in the wind to get him on his second bird to no avail. This morning we hunted a farm a good friend of mine has. He took Jaxon's dad, and I had Jaxon with me. We had this bird gobbling on the roost at 6:15 AM. He read the script; gobbled all the way in, and died at 6:52 when Jaxon's little 20 ga. with Hevi-Shot barked.
