This is a bird I killed on the second morning of Kentucky's season this year. I had watched these two birds all spring, lucky for me they lost their hens about three days before season opened and I was able to roost them on opening evening.

The video doesnt start until the birds come into view, this area is very open and we had to setup around 300 yards from the birds. Once it cracked daylight and they started gobbling I walked out past the decoys and got pretty aggressive with my calling, trying to sound like 3 to  4 hens that had roosted on the edge of this field. After they answered some tree yelps I gave em a couple of fly down cackles and next thing they were on the ground. I cut at em a few times and shutup, after about ten minutes they gobbled and we could tell they were on the ridge with us.

I know some people arent fans of the Zinc decoys but this gobbler fell in love with this hen, once they seen the decoys it was all but over. Bird had 3/4" spurs, 10 1/4" beard, and guessed him to weigh around 21 lbs. Hope you enjoy the video, let me know what you think.

I was pumped up for hunting, but that just put me over the edge.  Great, great hunt and video.

Great video. That camera picked him up spitting pretty good. That second bird looked like it had some decent hooks on it.

Savduck man I noticed the same thing when we watched the footage, I couldnt take my eyes off of the strutter though during the hunt lol. I would like to catch up with that second bird but I havent seen him or heard him since that morning.
