Title: Just got back from Nebraska
Post by: jk6140 on April 21, 2012, 09:19:08 AM
Well we got back yesterday from a real good trip. Between 5 of us we ended up with 9 birds in 2 full days of huntng. The weather was good while hunting, but turned worse on our way home. All of the birds were between 20-22 lbs. All of them had approx 9" beards. They were gobbling hard the entire time we were there. We are 3 out of 4 towards our Grand Slam. It sure was beautiful scenery and even better hunting, seeing over 100 birds in 2 days.

Mallenhet, you are correct.  We were hunting in Lynch, which is approx 45 mins form South Dakota.  The bird population is truly amazing up there.
