Well we got back yesterday from a real good trip. Between 5 of us we ended up with 9 birds in 2 full days of huntng. The weather was good while hunting, but turned worse on our way home. All of the birds were between 20-22 lbs. All of them had approx 9" beards. They were gobbling hard the entire time we were there. We are 3 out of 4 towards our Grand Slam. It sure was beautiful scenery and even better hunting, seeing over 100 birds in 2 days.

Awesome hunt. Looks like th stars aligned just right for y'all.
stars don't need to be aligned in parts of Neb. to shoot merriams & easterns............along the s.dakota/nebraska border its pretty amazing the population growth the last 10-12 yrs..........nice going ......
Mallenhet, you are correct. We were hunting in Lynch, which is approx 45 mins form South Dakota. The bird population is truly amazing up there.
Congrats on a fine bunch of gobblers!
Seems like there's more turkeys than pheasants these days!!
