Title: Alabama
Post by: daddylongspurs on April 21, 2012, 12:38:42 AM
I was in bama around union springs all week this past week, I killed a bird on day one, after a rain shower but he never gobbled. An we only had one bird gobble a handful of times Wednesday and today. Other than that I couldnt buy a goblin bird. Now granted we never saw the sun all week, but damn it was slow. Anyone else seeing the same problems?? They should be on fire right now!

Hit or miss with the gobbling around Thomasville area. One day a few, next day not a sound.Took a bird Friday, found one gobbling Sat.miles away at a different spot, only to get busted by a deer trying to set up on him.I hate deer.!!!

Very quiet down in the Conecuh, Blue Springs area too. We had tons of gobbling the first weekend of the season, but its been like a cemetary ever since...

I'm wondering if it just got too warm too soon. Deer hunting buddies of mine said they heard birds gobbling in mid-feb.

They've been acting like normal here in Barbour County.   The birds that are left are still gobbling pretty good.
