Title: Interesting read - Cloward/Piven strategy
Post by: lightsoutcalls on April 19, 2012, 03:50:17 PM
I heard reference to this issue this morning on a conservative talk radio program.  It is called the Cloward/Piven strategy of manufactured crisis.  Here is a link for your reading pleasure:

Basically, the strategy was developed by a married couple of liberal sociologists in 1966.  The intent was to overload welfare roles so that the government could no longer support all of its obligations in order to bring about more government control by means of establishing a national income system in which everyone gets a "fair share".  It is very interesting that the now deceased Professor Cloward taught at Mr. Obama's alma mater during his time there.

Stated slightly differently: tear down the current economic and social system, give the govt more power during a crisis, and with that power the liberals in govt can choose who are the winners on the way back up.

Of course, one of the flaws in their reasoning is that it does not cause shooting to break out, that Americans in the heartland are still willing to compromise and negotiate with them and resolve things through political means (rather than extrapolitical means), and that the "enlightened" liberals will be running things and making the decisions after the collapse.

Does anyone else wonder (on a frequent basis) when or if this might actually occur?  I sometimes wonder if that is what it will take to get the attention of our "elected leaders".  I also wonder if it would be reported as an isolated incident carried out by some "radical conservative nutjob"...   We all know how the liberal media has a way of spinning incidents that don't fit their playbook.  Just thinking with my keyboard... not making any plans...  It just seems like there are a lot of folks that don't like what is going on, but don't have the stomach for so much as contacting their elected officials, much less anything that would put life as we know it at risk of change.  I think it would do us all good to examine the sacrifices that some of our founding fathers made in order to give us a chance to know what freedom is.  We probably all know of men and women who have sacrificed life or limb in service to their country in conflicts somewhere across the globe.  It just seems like such a disservice to those people to sit back and whine rather than to get involved in bringing back the pride and power of a great nation.  We all have a chance to do something about it in November.
After that....?

I donor think it is a coincidence that this imposter that some call our president was attending this school while this man taught there. It is also good to read some of you guys thought to know that we have some great minds on this sight. When I was a kid my Dad used to say you guys will see when the revolution comes in this country. And me and my cousins would look at him and say cook. Well I feel dads gonna be right. I think were going to have to take this place back someday. We all know what they wrote the 2 nd amendment for. Not for getting dinner. I often think to myself how did they know( meaning our founding fathers) that we would be put in this situation again someday.
