Walked outside this morning around 9 and heard a bird fire off across the road. Ran in got a mouth call, went out and left out a few yelps and 4 fired back at me.... I just about loaded up my pants.. called once more and they fired back at me again.. then I left them alone.. Man that fired me up...
Seen one today in full strut birddogen two hens in a open field.
Maybe I'll try to get on Mon or Tues morning then. Going to warm up tomorrow and tomorrow night. Might just be enough to get a gobble or two.
I was out my spot Saturday morning and 5 birds where hammering until about 7:30. Sure got the blood pumping!!
