I had this bird scouted out before the season and was able to slip in and get set up yesterday while it was still good and dark. Had the pleasure of listening to him gobble for a solid 40 min before he finally flew down. After a few soft yelps he make his way in to try and woop my pretty boy and I put a good arrow into him at 12 yards. First kill with my new hoyt. 21 lbs 10.5" beard and inch and a quarter hooks.
heres a couple more
Congrats to a fellow bowhunter.
Congrats, looks like us folk in Mo arent getting alot of kills yet. Glad to see someone bag one, and a bow kill too! That take some skills sir!
Congrats! The spur on the leg with the tag is not a hook its a dagger! Does it curve at all or is it just the way the picture looks to me?

Thats just the way I had the leg turned towards the camera...last minute picture and i took it in a hurry lol
Great bow kill.
Like those spurs as well.
Congratulations nice way to bloody a new bow.
Congrats on the nice bow kill.. Those stinkin' spurs could put your eye out..Wow!!
Congrats! Have not tried one with my bow yet but I want to try. I recently got into bow hunting last year but it was just for deer. It was exciting with the deer so I'm sure trying to get a turkey with one would be a completely different level of excitement
Congrats!!! :icon_thumright: Nice bird, and with a bow to boot!! :you_rock:
Thanks everyone, now I have a dilemma: do I continue with the bow to try and fill my 2nd tag, or take my new Benelli, which has never been in the turkey woods yet but throws a mean pattern with hevi 6's ??? Decisions....
Congrats on the bow kill, nice bird :icon_thumright:
