Title: 20 remington heavi

remington 20gauge hevi #6   shoot out of a mossy 500, shoot today and 189 in the 10inch circle at 35 yards with a tight wad choke. im pretty pleased i think the boy is good to go out to 40 yards :z-guntootsmiley:

Were these the 1 1/8oz @1300fps or the 1¼oz @1175fps? (Too bad these loads were discontinued.) >:(

it was the 1.25 1175, yep to bad they are so hard to find if anyone has any laying around i will sure buy them :you_rock:

I am very fortunate that I have several boxes of the 1¼oz #6; enough to last me and all my grandsons for several years to come.

I am very fortunate that I have several boxes of the 1¼oz #6; enough to last me and all my grandsons for several DECADES.
i have 8 of them hoping i can find some more somewhere,i look everywhere i go and zilch cant find em anywhere guess they have been bought up,that should last me this season then i guess it is on to hevi 13 for the 20 as well

You are on the right track with your planning. Think #7s in HTL and Fed HW and you will see better times ahead.

My mossy 500 shoots the rem hevishot real good. Has anyone ever tried the rem wingmaster hd? I wonder if it compares with the old rem hevishot

I would check it at 40 yards.  Probably it is just fine, but I have seen guns do funny things in just 5 yards.  Just my $.02.

the "new"Rem. HD is nothing but a waste of money,they are worthless
