Title: Nice KY bird down
Post by: earlybird on April 17, 2012, 03:38:36 PM
Killed a nice gobbler in KY this weekend after struggling through 1 1/2 days of strong wind. Was really trying to get one for my buddy who had never even hunted turkeys before but this bird came in silent and on my side so he could'nt move to get the shot.I tried for about 10 min to get him to strut in front of us but when he turned to leave i just could'nt let him walk away.10"beard,1 1/8"spurs,19lbs.

Congrats on the kill. It has been crazy weather here in Ky. Friend of mine had already seen a hen with six little ones hatched in monticello.
