Well this morning was filled with a LOT of walking and very little results, no gobbles on the roost but one finally sounded off behind me about 11am on a blind set up. Well just about the time I get reset around the other side of the tree facing the direction the gobble came from a black non biting ant is crawling right above my crack where my shirt had been untucked from moving I guess. Stupid thing crawled all the way up my shirt to my shoulder blades, do you have any idea what it takes to stay still when a 1/2'' ant is crawling up and down your spine with a gobbler coming in??? It ALWAYS happens right about the time you have to stay the most still that a mosquito bites you or something crawls all over you... ;D
Well was it worth the pain?
Never saw him, I heard a hen first and the gobble was pretty weak I thought. Lots of walking today with 0 results. Didnt even hear a gobble on the roost.
