Seen a pump today that if you let off the pump while racking it down it is spring loaded to slam the pump up and close the action. I guess so you can't short stroke it. My ffl said that its the first of its kind he knows of.though I only have short stroked guns with loose pumps *cough* Mossberg *cough.
Any ideas on this assisted pump idea
would think it would increase the chances of short stroking in my opinion the looser a pump is the less likely your going to short stroke a pump you still have to remember to push it foward and load another shell wich I guess thats what the spring is assisting with.
I should also add its notched fir scope rings.
Its a pretty powerful spring . I know in the maverick 88 the pump comes open during recoil
never on my bps. Told the dealer all these hd shotguns should come with threaded barrels
