Tagged along to try and call in a bird for Bub this morning, my nephew and his brother Millero went as well. Got setup at daylight where I knew a bird would be and worked him for what seemed like eternity and he wouldn't budge but I kept hearing 2 birds 6-700 yards away slowly getting closer and sure enough they worked their way to the call. When they entered the field we were in I shifted Bub around for a better shot, they put on an epic show strutting all the way across this field to 35 yards before Bub and Millero pulled one of the sharpest double's I've seen. This was also the maiden hunt of my Bloodwood Crystal which was the last hen they heard. Beautiful Morning full of plentiful gobbling and dead longbeards.

WOOOOEEEEEE!!!
Some pretty birds, one sharp looking and evidently, sounding call, and great hunt. Just noticing the tail fan and no markings on the two feathers of the one bird.
Congrats to you three!!
God Bless,

Great hunt!
I've had two occasions where the nearer birds wouldn't come but when those far off birds come in, they tend to come all the way in. Gotta love it! :turkey2:
What a good story. Congratulations on the fine birds.
