Title: What do you put in your Vest
Post by: Hootowl on April 13, 2012, 07:06:07 PM
I know this has probably been talked about on here, But I was just wondering what everybody takes with them, and carries in there Turkey Vest. (And don't someone say a (Turkey), Because we all want one of those? I just want to see if I carry way to much, or am I like the rest of the Turkey Hunters. 1 thing I take is My thermacell, Compas, toilet paper, Mouth calls, Box calls, Several pot  calls, and alot of strikers.Headnet Extra Gloves, decoys(Cherokee Sport) 3 of them. Sunglasses. Tick spray, Candy bars, extra water. Knife, Shells and extra shells, several locater calls, That's about it for me what am I missing?????

I use premethrin on the clothes. I don't worry much about sprays. I keep chalk and scotchbrite to work up my friction calls a bit. I may take water if I'm going to be out on a trek, but I usually don't take anything to consume. I like to travel lite.

ALWAYS have toilet paper in your vest. I've learned this the hard way several times.
