I have one. They look awesome and hens peck at their eyes.

Resin were darker than the new ACE's.

Two years ago at an ISE show, Brad asked me if anyone was commenting on the new lighter brown on the ACE.

I said no, and that I preferred the lighter color, as most of the birds I chase in CA, KS, NE, are hybrids, and the hens are brown for sure.

We did casually mention that he might offer an Eastern hen someday, but he would have to get many requests.

This is the first post I've ever seen with a complaint about being too brown, and it certainly may be valid, but it will take lots of contact with Brad to get a blacker hen I think...

I am not really complaining cause I KNOW they will work.. and I know hens are brown lol... I just wish they were just a little bit darker is all.... I don't know how to post pics yet.. or I would be selling some pot calls... They just look a little lighter brown in person.

I can guarantee you that neither of these two boys had a problem with the color.

I'm not sure of the changes, but my brother's DSD is a little more brown in color than mine which I bought last year. It's noticeable if you look at them alot, but they've both been equally effective.  :toothy9:
